"CJ" as Caroline is known, was born and raised in Newport in Wales before moving to the historical English city of Gloucester, where she spent 20 years working for the National Health Service as a diagnostic medical micro biologist.
She then changed direction completely, becoming regional development manager for a UK-based cats protection charity. And finally, in 2006, after travelling extensively in
southern Africa which she has always loved "with a passion" she decided to press CTRL, ALT and DELETE on her life and move to Zambia full-time, taking on reservation and housekeeping duties for Chongwe River Camp.
Camp and the beautiful Lower Zambezi Valley are now CJ’s home for most of the year, but when camp closes she relocates to Lusaka, running reservations in the off-season from Chongwe’s head office.
