“Flossie”, as she is known and loved, is Zambian born and bred but was raised in Scotland, Carlisle and Reading in the UK. With a BA in business administration from the University of Nottingham Trent and and HND is business and finance from Reading College, she returned to her homeland, Zambia, in 2001, where she was the MD of the renowned Chainama Hotel in Lusaka for a number of years.

A self-confessed city girl, Flossie joined Chongwe in 2009 with no bush experience whatsoever. She survived her first season in camp without a scratch, and is now completely “converted”, having fallen madly in love with the Lower Zambezi valley.

She has a home in Lusaka which she shares with husband Alan, who is also part of the Chongwe management team.
