Patrick has been in the Lower Zambezi valley since 2000 and has been guiding since 2008. Born and raised in the market town of Choma, in the southern province of Zambia, he has always been interested in wildlife.

He joined the Chongwe team in 2009 and has quickly established himself as a keen birder. “Birding is one of the best parts of my job,” he says. “I enjoy listening for the calls and helping guests to identify them.

Indeed, guest interaction is something Patrick thrives on. “I love meeting people and sharing my knowledge of the bush with them,” he says.
